Apple has updated its MacBook Pro line, not only with new internal specs, but with a new physical design on the high-end, as well as a high-resolution "retina" display. Though Apple did not give the press any hands-on time following the WWDC keynote today, it did place one of the new MacBook Pros in a rotating display case just outside the keynote hall, where developers and media folks gathered around to take photos and examine the new machine. We, of course, were among the crowd.
Since we were unable to touch the new 15" MacBook Pro, we can't comment on the feel or the weight. The computer is certainly thinner than the current MacBook Pro, but it doesn't look like the wedge-shaped MacBook Air. As you can see from the photos, it looks like a classic MacBook Pro, but thinner, with a nicer display and with updated specs.
Apple claims it reduced the glare and reflection on the MacBook Pro's glossy screen, but we were unable to see much of a difference as we were looking through the case at the machine. Several developers also commented on this, saying that it still "looks pretty glossy." We may feel differently once we get our hands on one of the machines, however.
