Failure Games Gets You Accustomed to Risks and Failures

Failure Games Gets You Accustomed to Risks and Failures

iOS 7: The one thing stopping you from taking that risk—whether it’s entrepreneurial or personal—is the fear of failure. AppSumo’s new app, Failure Games, is designed to make risk-taking a part of your life and get you accustomed to failure, embarrassment or other negative emotions that hold you back.

Here’s how Failure Games works:

Every day, we’ll release a new challenge. The challenge could be as silly as telling a joke or as socially uncomfortable as asking a complete stranger to have lunch with you.

Some will be harder than others, but every challenge will be designed to get you more at ease with taking chances and with the possibility of failure.

So far, the challenges have included making a funny face and taking a photo to share with the world, meeting up with someone whom you haven’t been in touch with for a long time, having a push-up competition with friends and loser buys lunch, taking a photo with a complete stranger, and other similar tasks.

Each challenge lasts for 24 hours from the time you choose to accept it, and you are required to submit photographic proof that you did it. Followers can comment and encourage you based on these pics.

None of the challenges are overly hard, but they are all helpful to you as a person and make you push yourself into doing something you wouldn’t normally do, mostly out of fear. And remember, it’s important to understand the fear of failure to overcome yours.
